Medium temperature asphalt/ coal pitch  is an important raw material for producing carbon products, including pre baked anodes, carbon blocks, graphite electrodes, graphite squares, graphite blocks, electrode paste, anode paste, sealing paste, electrode materials, high-power electrodes, cold ramming paste, black metallurgical carbon, electrode carbon brushes, electric furnace steelmaking electrodes, chemical battery positive electrode materials, etc. The chemical composition and physical properties of medium temperature asphalt make it an ideal choice for manufacturing these products. It is also a raw material for producing carbon black, blended oil, asphalt coke, delayed coke, and modified asphalt. Raw materials for smelting asphalt coke: used as a binder for carbon electrodes and electrolytic aluminum anodes; used as a binder for producing batteries and refractory materials.
